Carrara Animation Site
Started by 0oseven a while ago
I'm probably a bit overdue making this post as it has been on the Daz Carrara Forum a while - so you may have already seen it. http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewthread/27624/I will be launching a site soon exclusively for Carrara users interested in Animation. There are so many aspects to Animation that I felt a dedicated site would be a worthwhile thing for novice or expert. So the idea here is to focus on discussing and learning about Carrara’s animation features ,making Animated Movies and sharing knowledge. Subjects such as modelling or the “perfect still render” are left to other sites and forums.Dynamics, particles, lights , cameras or anything that moves or changes over time is considered animation as well as,of course, characters , their motions and lipsinc.Maybe you want to collaborate with others to produce a Movie or just get ongoing help with a project.Site should launch very soon but a few people who have shown interest will beta test it first - and if they dont find too many of my "failings" then will publicise the web address. You can still join the beta group to offer your opinions and suggestions.Just post your interest here.Cheers

gives the movement a bit more realiziam. But getting realistic motion is dificult regardless. Walking is a bit of a jaring motion, for every action there is a reaction. Your foot hits the floor but flesh and cloth don't stop their movement imeadietly. The knee is not a hinge, the hip is not a pendulum. A bit of side to side movement in the shin, and a little role to the hip gives a more natural walk. The body is not attached to a rope, it dips down between steps. It's the little things that make the biggest difference, and the hardest to get right.
