ADHD at work, or whats in my render room.
Started by Stan a while ago

Well for year I have suspected I had ADHD. Several people; not qualified to, have told me I had it. A couple weeks ago I was in see a psyc for my disability evaluation; I'm not disabled but with emphysima and arthritus I'm unemployable {a felony police record doesn't help}. The psyc confirmed I do have ADHD and he wants me on meds for it. Not till Obama says he'll pay for it; yes I filed for medicade too. I'll be 53 in june and I might as well be retired. Proof working like a horse means your body will have the life expetency of one. I started working at 16 and now I am just worm out.

What this means is I am broke with time to work on scenes. This also explanes why I have close to 100 unfinished scenes. Some I have spent months on; smugglers keep, and soem just hours.

I love WW1 scout planes. Built models for years. Here is  neiwil's Albatros from shereCG { http://www.sharecg.com/b/5/3D-Models/?PSID=f465a9279232fb5104e46319d75121fa&keywords=neiwil&member_type%5BAll%5D=on&attribute%5B2005%5D%5B-1%5D=1&attribute%5B2017%5D%5B-1%5D=1&attribute%5B2538%5D%5B-1%5D=1&tdm=a&s=dd} sorry for the long link, it's his complete listing at shareCG, he does a lot of WW1and WW2 planes.

Here I am working on a simple flight, it may develope in to more, and this is just a real quick wip. With the clouds this is a long animation to render. I'm up to the next part which is giving the planes movement.

I've turned off the 9 surface replicators while working on peopleing the boat. 3 more to go.

I'm up to 7 so lets meet the cast. Miss Elona ; the blond in pik swimsuit tanning, is a B drive-in movie star. Her sister; the healthy blond on the lower deck. And her "at least he's not ugly" by her sister's standards, boy friend.

Miss Elona's boy freind{?} Donald "Dash" Berinton; yes the son of Berinton industries. And his freind Robert "Bo" Devuchi; yes the football player.

In the blue and white swim suit is miss Elona's ... makeup girl, secratary, goferr, ya know.

At the top is "Skipper Jack" David Jackson. At the base of the ladder is his nephew Ralph "Rollo" Ollensen. And in the opposite corner his half sister Balinda "Billy" Jackson.

Still need the paparazzi photographer and her driver, I think?

And I still haven't turned on the replicators. There is a few 100K of unseen replicated plants in scene. And birds, but the dragonflies just don't show. Laughing

I think you're going to need a bigger boat. Also, is that the Creature from the Black Lagoon (lower right corner, near the front of the barge)?

I'm working on texture tweaks, here you can see some shinny clothes that shouldn't be, and heavy cloth that should be a bit transparent. SSS would be better but is a real ender killer and not really that good. Like that school colors Tshirt on the big guy, I'll set the alpha to 70-80%.

Stonemason's backally. I've been sorting through my scenes to see which ones C8.1.1.12 is going to trash. Typical of DAZ carrara 8.1.1.8 worked fine, the final for carrara 8.1{1.12} has a bug that trashes some shaders, and the ability to uncheck visability on parts of a set is broke as well.

Yes, Stefan's backally is an excellent test of an HDRI. I the previous render you can see a fail. The HDRI castess a blue tint to the scene. This can some what be fixed by using a sun or distence light set to an amber color. But it can still throw the color off in a scene.

I have an HDRI test scene and considering you geet what you pay for it's needed to test the free HDRIs I download. Some are excellent, some are not so good. Bad lightling, or low rez, I like to know before I use them. I have my HDRIs sorted to inside, sceneic and street. This covers most everything. One of the Things I love about Genetica is I can fix badly lit but hirez HDRIs, or turn any shereical photo in to an HDRI. Wink

Swamp A {the house boat scene} started with the creech figure, a figure based on the old creature from the black laggon. Creech tends to be had to work with in carrara, and the more I wanted him to do the more issues I had with him. So new monster. Unlike the 50's creature this one is not bulky and lumbering.
