A graphic designer in the UK named Ben Craig made this sci-fi film short in his spare time on a MacbookPro using Carrara. After uploading to Vimeo where it was selected as a Staff Pick, the short has been viewed more than 500,000 times and written up in Hollywood Reporter.
Craig and his team shot the live action over one weekend. Then he spent the next two months in post-production. Although he never went to film school he was not exactly an amateur. He had worked at a commercial studio in Scotland, and had seen how professional projects were handled.
The idea for the movie came when he was reading about the British Film Institute restoration of vintage movies. “How long in the future will these films be enjoyed, by whom and where?” He decided to create a film festival projected onto the surface of the moon. Actors were shot against a green screen and composited in Adobe After Effects. Craig used DAZ 3D’s Carrara to create the glossy environment of a futuristic space station, as well as the exteriors and lunar surface.

Extraordinary!
It is my dream to be able to do that and I see only Carrara to arrive there!
Congratulations with all the team!
