Been busy since I got C8.5, just playing to see what it can and can't do. I also make full use of Studio to prep figures.
Here is a stretch test with the optitex dynaimc clothes. Genesis in K4's clothes. Actually looks kind of stylish.
Here's daouble fit. S3 clothes autofit to genesis then autofitted to G2f. Fit to genesis, then select the item and select "fit to" G2f in the options.
And here is V3 dynaimc clothing convert to conforming in Studio, then drapped in carrara.
I really like that first outfit, the pumpkin/jack-o-lantern thing. Was that one over in the Renderosity thread? I must have missed it. You're right, pretty stylish. 
That jackOlantern top is at it's limit. You can see where the body mesh is cutting in to it at the arm pit. From there it will rip through the character and end up a twisted up mess. I've tried animating with the skirt, but once the model starts walking the dress rides up to her waist.
I did a few other stretch tests and found dynamic clothing can be stratched quite a bit before it brakes. Generally as long as the clothe and body meshes don't pass through each other it will work.
Clearing out old carrara's today, uninstalling C8.1 and C8.5beta.
I need to start filling a gallery, I mean make it a point to finish one of my "done almost" scenes a week.
Here is what I will start with; need to do some post work, the renders are never sharp enough to suit me.
