I never deleted ANYONE's thread. I found it tedious that Cafe received all of DAZ's trolls after they have been banned there, and that those individuals chose to take a crap here to spite DAZ - especially when DAZ isn't at all involved in this website. This is a place to establish a CARRARA community, independent of DAZ.

I'm sorry that the actions of a vocal minority have influenced others into boycotting Cafe because they decided that I must have been deleting threads. I'm happy to step away. Maybe that accuser can come and be editor here.

Ladies and gentlemen, 

I am completely shocked of the situation. 
To make things clear, as I am aware, there is one removed thread from the forum per request by the author to prevent very likely conflicting situation. I am not sure if members of Cafe can delete threads on their own, I can only suspect not, other wise we wouldn't have received the request. 

So as an admin of Café I removed one thread as requested by the creator of that thread. Removal of thread was also approved by the presance of posts with rude attitude in them. 

Allow me to clarify some things about Café. This project was initiated by the request of DAZ 3D in a wish to create a solid community foundation based on positives found in Carrara. A place for people to discover versatility of Carrara and share knowladge, be a central place for all the goodies of Carrara. 

However we at Café tried to make things be more free. Yet it appears we might have been wrong and needed strictly moderate forum. 

Accusing administrative member of Café is not acceptable. As administrators we have an obligation to keep things civilized. If tje thread is no longer available, this means there is a good reason why it is not present anymore. 

 Any thread ending up in a flame war, rude or violent manner will be removed. Only the owner of the thread will be admonished about this. Please don't make us strictly moderate forums of Café, be civilized and considerate. 

From now on please do not discuss topics about dissatisfaction with Daz 3D, after all Café still is a project braught to you by DAZ 3D and volunteers aimed to make things better for Carrara. 

If conflicting threads will emerge, I might then remove forum feature from Carrara Café as well as disabling all comments for articles etc. 

So in effect we are being silenced here too? Only say nice things about Daz or else?

Be considerate, avoid any possible conflict situations. Firstly it is advisable to send dissatisfaction letters to Daz 3D marketing directly. If you are not satisfied by the service or do not get response, contact Daz 3D director directly. 

Forum has small use because you are not reaching the right people to get things moving because folks that has the hands to push things in development doesn't seem to read forums much. 

It is rather more productive to share your creativity and produce something inspiring and share your experience in construtive manner so that both users,  possible users and folks who develop Carrara would have great interest in it. 

There are three ways to express dissatisfaction, direct contact with the company (depending on company might be productive or not), indirect contact, hot ranting that results only in reaching very very distant auditory from the target in most of the cases, indirect contact by producing something awesome, reaching and inspiring many folks and getting attention or acknowledgement from the devs with opportunities to tell what improvements will make things better.

Yes, agree. Without Holly, the Cafe wouldn't be what it is. I, for one, hope she reconsiders and will continue to guide this little Carrara ship.

Clarification.
If you allow me, I explain you the things seen on my side…
To start, I followed a thread (initiated by ManStan) concerning the positive and negative points of Genesis in Carrara.
I am not really interested by Genesis but I like to be informed on the evolutions.
At the beginning, this thread was interesting but it was before the intervention of Holly attacking ManStan.
As written on forum DAZ, these are two strong personalities which were in contradiction.
Then, curiously, the thread disappeared…
I thank Holly didn't like that the visitors read the words very hard and indecent addressed to ManStan and then she had erased the thread, considering she's administrator of the site.
I thought that if it were like that which one acted on “Café”, I will not connect anymore…
At this point in time, ArtistX creates a thread on the DAZ forum to synthesize the problems encountered by the Carrara users.
There is directly an intervention of Holly to encourage ArtistX to make this thread on Café because we are free to write what we wants, and there is not censure because it is not a forum owned by DAZ…
I point out to her that a thread was all the same removed…
ArtistX writes that it's not Holly but ManStan himself which remove this thread, he also writes that ManStan asked that I ask on the forum not to remove the thread (why me ???).
After these precise details, I made my excuse to Holly which get herself very quickly in anger!
She publishes then a completely aggressive text on Café in which she seems to explain, if I understood well, that she also had been prohibited on DAZ for bad matter concerning some issues with “Mimic”.
I immediately thought that she was characterial, this reaction to reveal herself when she is in anger is typical of this syndrome.
A few minutes afterwards, she completely modifies her text and she writes: “I have been accused of deleting a thread to protect DAZ."
The malicious “accuser”, it was me except that:
1- I didn't say that it was her personally, in spite of the fact that I thought it.
2- I never wrote nor thought that it was “to protect DAZ”, personally, I don't care !
I always thought (and I always think) that Holly built something of enormous, I admire the people like her who want to advance the things and I still thank her.
If she didn't want to understand what I wrote on thread DAZ, i.e. which I had now the explanation and that I was sorry, it's that she didn't want to calm the things.
It's unhappy but, too bad…
Now that I know that there are serious administrators, I will continue to attend Café, if I'm not badly welcome, naturally.

The second thread created by ArtistX was removed by me again as requested by ArtistX in order to prevent possible negative impact.

To clarify some things, Holly didn;t remove any thread in Cafe Forums, I am the one to claim the position executing the first ever removal of forum thread in the forums of Cafe.

I will confess that I dind;t care who and why participated in the thread by Stan, I just receive the request to remove it, read few posts through the thread pages and decided that due to the possible conflicting situations it is a solid reason foundation to execute the elimination of the thread.

Lets keep Carrara Cafe be about Carrara not DAZ 3D and problems in DAZ 3D, because this topic never brings any good and usually ends up in flame wars etc.

And now look where we ended up by such discusions, a wonderful admin, that done magnificent job on making Carrara Cafe stand again is no longer willing to be an admin at Cafe.

I would be grateful if we would learn from this situation to be more considerate in the future and avoid any aggressive and conflicting subjects as well as solve conflicts peacefully and privately not feeding more flames.

Could we please stop now and not develop possibly another negative thread?
I am considering of removing this thread too due to a suspicion of possibility of further development of negative impact to some members.

For future reference I remain the right to remove negative impact threads for me and GKDantas only so that no other admin who participated in a removed thread would be accused of something.

In the future there might be more members with moderator or admin privileges, but then there will be a rule that a moderator that participated in the discussion has no right to remove that thread so that there would be no misunderstandings, because for moderators that participate in the discussion it is a very delicate matter when it comes to solving situations.

I also strongly recommend to not discuss DAZ 3D, Lets focus on Carrara matters only. This is not to protect DAZ 3D what so ever, but to avoid very likely flame wars because most threads on that topic usually ends up in the need of locking and removal or even blocking members. We don't want to have these situations.

Yes but, as an administrator of this forum, she should be a little more serene in her interventions and forget insults towards the members.
I don't know ManStan, but it is unacceptable and very prejudicial for the forum to have indecent and exaggerated remarks, especially coming from an administrator.
I don't say that ManStan does not exaggerate sometimes, but in the thread concerned, it is not him which put the fire.
But you are right, we are not there to demolish DAZ but to make evolve Carrara, then… let us forget all this !

I hope Holly stays.
The site wouldn't be the same without her.

I DO like the freedom over here better because we can at least discuss things openly.

We are all on the SAME side. We want a better Carrara. One that works with Genesis.
