Couldn't upload .car file
Started by evilproducer a while ago
Just wanted to let y'all know that I created a thread about caustics and wanted to upload a small .car scene file (I think under 36k) and I had a message saying it was the wrong file type. I put it in a folder with an alternate .car file and some .png reference images and zipped it and it uploaded just fine. Do all .car files need to be zipped to be uploaded?
Do I ever shut up?!?

at the moment only .zip seems to work... Although an earlier version of the forums allowed it and I set our uploads to accept .car and .cbr
I'm asking the developers, it might be a bug introduced with some of our fixes or it might be some server-side setting I don't know about.... Thanks for the reminder! I want this to work again!!!

fwiw, .zip is the only reliable way to share the files. A lot of web browsers will either attempt to open .car/.cbr as text files or reject them as an unknown format.... Some web servers use to change resource forks on unknown files, which can mangle them... .zip will always automatically download to their computer, so .zip really is preferred.You are not permitted to reply on this forum.
